I am a designer artist. I explore the relationship of body in space, movement and textile. I feel most comfortable when I am adrift and find home through others. I find following my intuitive impulses to be rugged yet graceful. I believe we can reveal humanity through clothing and trust that humanity shines through collaboration. I will continue to use my eyes to listen and always prefer the present moment

I am the Costume Designer and Shop Manager for the Dance Department at California State University, Long Beach. I have an MFA in Costume Design from the University of Texas. In the past I have worked for companies such as The Santa Fe Opera, American Players Theatre and Intel Corporation and Opera pa Skaret in Sweden. I have spent time abroad in both London and India. Summer 2019, Adrift, Kelsey's MFA Thesis project, will be displayed as a part of USITT's Emerging Artist Exhibit at  both the USITT Conference in Louisville, KY and the Prague Quadrenniel in Prague.
